Brilljard, the cadet mentioned in the "Argument". Behind the story: William Turner, gentleman servant to Lord Grey whose affaire with Henrietta Berkeley he covered by marrying Henrietta. All three fled to Cleve where Grey and Turner seem to have quarreled over the possion of Henrietta. Turner eventually fought on Monmouth’s side at Sedgemore, escaped to Netherlands; he was eventually pardoned in 1686.
