Capuchion, or Capuchin, member of the Order Fratrum Minorum Capucinorum, a branch of the Franciscans founded by Matteo di Bassi of Urbino. The order idealises the poverty of hermits, the hoods of their habits signalise their disdain of worldly affairs.
