Histories of love touching the European aristocracy (p.27-65: Merovius falling love with a mentally retarded girl - as he can't marry her he sends her to a monastary; p.29-33: discourse about love; p.133-71: Königsmarck's story; p.93-126, 317-80: Polish history till king Augustus.
